Today I realized....

that I need to treat myself better. I'm not sure how this translates, but what I mean is I need to feed the academic side of me, stop being afraid to be awesome, and research and do things that I know will enhance my overall person. Occasionally, we get magazines in the mail from PGCC (Prince George's Community College). They have a Workforce Development/Continuing Education Program and basically what it does is allows you to... well, continue you your education. So I've decided to take the following courses.

Sub-contracting with the government
Notary Public Procedures
Government Contracting ~ Marketing
Marketing Notoral Public Services
Contracting with the State and County
Administrative Assistant Fundamentals
Advance Notoral Procedures
Writing your Life Story

All together these classes will cost me $450 overtime. I'm quite pleased with this, considering I'll receive CEU credits that I can claim on my professional resume.

MIL and I are planning a surprise baby shower for SIL. Well, more MIL than me. My role consists of her sharing ideas with me and me doing what she asks me to. Which is just fine. She's got such an awesome brain the planning events and I so don't. I do love the time we get to spend together, though. Bonus.

I've decided today that despite my rocky beginning on this new contract at vosb. I can TOTALLY stay at this place for the length of time I'm supposed to. Needless to say, I feel good for being able to a) build my businesses resume b) gain experience and c) make some consistent monies. This works well b/c Hubbs and I want to purchase two new cars. Not at the same time but one-at-a-time and THIS. I've decided that if we don't buy a house and have to rent again, that I would like to rent a house or large condo. I want to get used to living in those types of quarters. I want a garden. I want to cook out on the deck. I want. I want. I want. Damn-it!

Fall is HERE!!!!!! And I'm in L-O-V-E

I love this kind of weather. It is my favorite time of year. From now until mid-April is when I am the happiest and coldest. But the bonus is I get to wrap up in all the coolest of apparel. I'm in the midst of putting together my Fall Collection. Not to worry, I'll be back to share.
