no pics, but a great joke & the rest of my week

Joke: Momma Tomato, Poppa Tomato, and Baby Tomato were walking down the street. Baby Tomato was lagging behind and Poppy Tomato was getting frustrated. Finally, Poppa Tomato turned around and squashed Baby Tomato and said.... Ketchup. Ketchup.

The rest of my week: Tuesday was an even bigger whirlwind. Since I'll be entering into this particular job placement as an Independent Contractor, there's a little thing called an Independent Contractor Agreement. Their a pain, but necessary. So, I've learned to appreciate them. Anyway, the owners of 'vosb' called me away from my desk to discuss the agreement. This led to renegotiation which led to...

Wednesday: I entered into 'vosb' expecting to settle the agreement, but that didn't happen. I could not help but get frustrated. I mean, seriously. I'm basically working for free because the agreement isn't signed. I will say one thing though, in our meeting on Tuesday the paper work all noted a start date of 9/20 which is the date I plan to note on my invoice when I bill them on 10/1.

Thursday: By now I had given up and decided that if they weren't calling me to the side to send me home I may as well stop worrying. I got to know my co-workers a bit more and found myself settling in quiet nicely. I combed through my customer list, made my phone calls, sent my e-mails and did anything else I was required to do. By the time...

Friday: rolled around. I was into it and ready for the weekend. At 5:30 on Friday I was feeling nothing less than exhausted, but more than pleased with myself. Yes, that's right. I was -H-A-P-P-Y.

Besides my home looking like a mack truck hit it, the Senator and I having no groceries (I haven't been shopping since my surgery), and, well, we bought new underwear because we haven't done laundry since the devil was a boy. Often times I find myself wondering why I chose this avenue for my business. Choosing a full-time gig that is. I don't come up with anything exceptionally intelligent, I just trust it's the best thing I could do for my hubbs and I and how choosing this helps meet our needs. Then I feel better. I'm confident I did the right thing. Yea. I'm sure.
