All in all I'm fairly please with my accomplishments. I really want to skip dance rehearsal tonight, but I think that may be a bit too much. Crocheting has become my new vice... I'm loving it. If anyone reading this knows how to crochet, please be so kind as to share some ideas with me.
My mother visited from Alaska this weekend. She and my uncle stopped in on their way from NC back to CT. I cooked breakfast for the crew ( eggs, sausage, bacon, and grits). After they ate they slept and I worked on what started out to be a pot holder, but turned into a canoe (that is when I quit that project and started on a blanket), much more simpler...so far. They left around 5:45 and the Senator and I got dressed for our evening wedding. Attending weddings is a different experience for us now. I have recently decided to stop giving gifts and instead give cards with prayers for longevity and peace. A vacuum can't do sh*t for a couple who are on the verge of breaking up....
The ceremony was beautiful. It was outside, and my prayers for God to hold back the rain for them did not fall of deaf ears, my God heard and he delivered. It was cold an my dress was strapless and I was barelegged and my shoes hurt my feet, but I was cute. I met a lot of young married couples, newlyweds, and I did the "oooooh!! Congratulations!" voice that I hated when I told folks I had just gotten married.
Toward the end of the night, I started to get worn out... fatigue is really kicking my a** lately... I just can't get it together!!! ugh!!! The best man said the best thing I have heard any best man say " Marriage isn't about meeting the right person, it's about becoming the right person"
Awesome, right?! Any witnesses in cyberspace?! I have learned so much about myself and have become a completely different person as a result of marriage. It's a wonderful thing!
What do you think?
