Today I spent the later part of the morning and the afternoon with my
pastor getting a series of assignments. I felt so good. I called mom
and she immediately said to me, " what did you do differently today?"
then it hit me. Not working has taken a toll on me. I know most people
with a regular 9-5 may feel like "if I had the opportunity to retire
and chill I'd take it", I agree.
Ya see, self-emoyment is a funny thing. It brings with it freedom yet
an immeasurable amount of pressure ( any entrepreneurs out there!?).
You can't imagine the mental strain involved unless you've experienced
it first hand. When you're working it's great, but when you're not,
it's bad (to say the least).
So! On to what makes me happy. Planning a 12-week marriage intensive
for the married couples at my church, organizing the church office
volunteers, logging the connection cards from each service
(demographic info, prayer requests, requests for info on different
ministries, etc.), transcribing sermons into a book, planning to take
over the church office and become the business manager they can't live
without.
Yea, all this... makes me happy.
I know I promised pics tonight but I still have not taken pics on my
new diggs. I lost the cord to my camera (bummer) so... I'll just post
my outfits everytime I wear something I got from MIL. Standby for
today's pics...
