Blog sacrafice & Useless fact # 1

This time of year is special for me. I chose to sacrifice a few things here and there. This year I found myself growing a small panic when thinking about having to give up my blog. I mean, I've got 6 followers for goodnesssake! This was confirmation that I had developed a soft addiction. So, for the next forty days I will post once a day a useless fact from this book. They will go in no particular order, just as I flow with the book as it opens and leads me to that day's specific discovery.

I picked it up a few months ago after discovering a girlfriend of mine had one. From one fellow bookworm to another, it's a keeper! I will not interrupt the cycle unless something really great happens in my life.

Useless fact #1
FRANKLIN, Benjamin (1706-90)
Benjamin Franklin rose early every day and sat naked for half an hour or an hour either reading or writing, a practice he described as "agreeable". Sometimes he would return to bed for "one or two hours of the most pleasing sleep that can be imagined."

He was strongly against the use of the words "notice," "advocate," and "progress" as verbs.
